Crouch Waterfall was engaged as Structural and Civil Engineers for this new mixed-use retail and residential development in Stoughton, Guildford.

The initial phase of the project comprised of the demolition of an existing factory, house and petrol station to accommodate the new development.

The retail portion now houses a Sainsbury’s Local Store and comprises a steel framed structure clad with rendered masonry. The residential portion provides twelve new apartments over two/three storeys constructed with traditional load-bearing masonry walls and suspended concrete floors.

Crouch Waterfall designed the external works together with the site drainage including a car park which is shared between the retail store and apartments.

The Sainsbury’s Store has been open since February 2012 with the apartments accommodated by the first purchasers during August 2012.
