Bridge Road Bridge

Bridge Road Bridge has recently been installed this September which is located by Woolsten Station in Southampton, Hampshire. This was a project Crouch Waterfall undertook alongside Dyer and Butler to replace the old bridge which dated as far back as 1904.

Due to its age, signs of rust had been seen in multiple locations on the Bridge and upon inspection it was clear that a complete replacement would be the only solution for safe on-going operation. The replacement bridge, as seen in the photo below being lifted into position, has two shallow U shaped decks and weighs approximately 40 tonnes. It was installed within a 52 hour track possession.
