Constructing Excellence Awards
Back in 2012, in conjunction with Hochtief, Crouch Waterfall developed an innovative temporary works solution which enabled construction activities to be undertaken with only minimal disruption to the railway over the four track Victoria to Ramsgate mainline under the A208 at Chislehurst Road Bridge.
The 25 metre span, 300 tonne steel and timber protection deck structure reduced the construction programme from 18 to 12 months and enabled day time working which reduced costs and meant that local residents were not disrupted by noise and activity during unsocial nightshifts.
Accordingly Hochtief were awarded “Outstanding Customer Satisfaction Award of the Year” at the Constructing Excellence in London and the South East Awards 2013.
