High tensile netting system at Chalford Viaduct
Members of the Bristol Geotechnical team were on site recently at Chalford Viaduct where Crouch Waterfall have designed a high tensile netting system to stabilise the cliff face. Last January an unprecedented amount of material failed from part of the cliff breaking through the existing netting and catch fence system.
Managed by Peter, Crouch Waterfall have been heavily involved in the remediation of the slope carrying out numerous inspections often via rope access and have produced the designs for a new, more robust system to stabilise the cliff face. The first phase of the work is near completion with two more designs in the pipeline for other sections of the cliff.
