New Build, East Sussex
Crouch Waterfall has undertaken the structural design for a new house in Mayfield, East Sussex that is to Passivhaus design. The main structure is erected in a matter of weeks using prefabricated cassette panel construction by specialist timber frame contractors Richardson and Peat and replaces the original house in an established residential site.
Passivhaus buildings provide a high level of occupant comfort while using very little energy for heating and cooling. They are built with meticulous attention to detail and rigorous design and construction according to principles developed by the Passivhaus Institute in Germany and need to be certified through an exacting quality assurance process.
