Merstham Regeneration Project

Crouch Waterfall has recently been involved with the design process of the Merstham Regeneration Project. The Merstham Estate, which is at the heart of Reigate and Banstead Borough Council’s (RBBC) corporate regeneration programme, is in desperate need of redevelopment in the centre of the estate and is due to undergo £5million worth of construction to improve this.

The designs of the former “Iron Horse” site are to construct a convenience store and 3 retail units together with 10 shared equity flats above on two floors for the Raven Housing Trust. The aim for this site is to be able to provide better access to fresh food for residents on the estate and provide new housing with a mix of tenures. Additionally, the “Triangle Site” is to become the hub of the estate with a community library and a youth skills centre at this location.

The aim of this regeneration programme is to improve the image of the estate and enable public and voluntary services to be delivered from a single hub location.
