Fiscal Stimulus Schemes – Western Region
Working for contractor’s Balfour Beatty Rail and Dyer & Butler Rail on two separate project packages, Crouch Waterfall is providing design services for steelwork repairs and re-painting works on a total of 16 rail bridges. These form part of Network Rail’s ‘Fiscal Stimulus’ schemes located across the Western region from Cornwall to Bristol and Reading. The works include some analysis and calculation to determine current capacity and development of economic repair options.
In addition to design of the main works, Crouch Waterfall is also providing design services for the temporary works aspects of the schemes, including designs for a variety of unique and specialised scaffold structures for encapsulation of the bridges during painting.
Works on site started earlier in the year and will continue throughout 2013.
