Clapham Junction Brighton Yard

Awarded a Commendation for Access Design Award by Wandsworth LA, February 2012.

Working in conjunction with RKG Architects and Osborne Rail, Crouch Waterfall provided Grip 4 Detailed Design for the re-opening of the Brighton Yard Building and forecourt as a third passenger entrance/exit at Clapham Junction station.  As part of this “Access for All Project” providing lift access to all 17 platforms from the Overbridge, the Brighton Yard Building was re-opened to provide a new passenger entrance and exit from the station with disabled access into the station and onto the Overbridge.

Whilst also providing new passenger facilities within the building the forecourt provided a drop off and turning point off of St John’s Hill with footpaths leading to the new entrance, along with a covered bicycle storage shelter.
