Rock stabilisation works

Over the course of 2015 and 2016 Network Rail have been undertaking the devegetation, scaling and slope stabilisation of a significant number of rock cuttings in the South West of the UK.

Crouch Waterfall Ltd. was asked, by two separate clients on behalf of Network Rail, to conduct for each one of these sites an initial geotechnical and risk assessment, together with the design of temporary/permanent remedial works required to stabilise each cutting, which typically comprise passive netting systems, tension rock netting systems and rock catch fences.
