£8 million conversion and extension of an existing three storey office building constructed in the 1990s.
The existing structure comprises composite concrete slabs bearing on a brick clad steel frame over a reinforced concrete basement.
The works comprise a new two storey extension of concrete composite floor slab construction bearing on the steel frame which is extended upwards. The existing brick cladding was removed and the structure re-clad with curtain walling.
The west end of the property was additionally extended over four storeys with a reinforced concrete basement.
Crouch Waterfall initially undertook the assessment of the existing structure and outline design of the proposed alterations before being novated to the design and build contractor.
The project is due for completion December 2016.
